| Thin Section
(,4) Description - Tim McCoy and Linda Welzenbach |
| The section shows a groundmass of comminuted pyroxene and plagioclase (up to 0.5 mm). A single diogenitic clast reaches 5 mm and dominates most of the section examined. A mm-sized carbonaceous chondrite clast is also present. Most of the pyroxene is orthopyroxene with compositions ranging from Fs22-53Wo1-4 (most Fs20-30), a single pigeonite of Fs41Wo6 and an olivine of Fa1-36 (with the Fa1 in the carbonaceous clast). The meteorite is a howardite. |
