Macroscopic Description - Cecilia Satterwhite
The exterior is covered with brown/black fusion crust with some oxidation. The interior has a crystalline texture and is brown in color with rusty areas and metal.
Thin Section (,2) Description - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy and Linda Welzenbach
The section consists of an equigranular aggregate of olivine, pyroxene, plagioclase, and metal with minor sulfide and chromite, with an average grain size of 0.5 mm, with some grains up to 1 mm. Olivine (Fa10) and pyroxene (Fs11) are homogeneous. One calcic pyroxene grain was analyzed (Fs4). This section is moderately weathered. The meteorite is an acapulcoite.
