Macroscopic Description - Kathleen McBride
The exterior has a small purple black patch of fusion crust. The interior is a black powdery matrix with tiny tan and white chondrules
Thin Section Description (,2) - Tim McCoy, Lauren LaCroix, Linda Welzenbach
The section consists of a few small chondrules (up to 1 mm), mineral grains and CAIs set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Alteration is prevalent within the chondrules. Olivine compositions are Fa1-56, orthopyroxene is Fs1. The meteorite is a CM2 chondrite. |
