The section shows a groundmass of comminuted pyroxene and plagioclase (up to 0.5 mm) with fine- to coarse-grained basaltic clasts ranging up to 3 mm. Impact melt clasts are 1-2 mm and occur in some abundance. Pyroxene varies widely in composition with iron-rich pyroxenes ranging between Fs60Wo3 and Fs27Wo43. Iron-poor pyroxenes are Fs19Wo1. Pyroxene has an Fe/Mn ratio of ~30. Plagioclase is An84-93Or0.3. The meteorite is a howardite. |
