This ordinary chondrite has a rusty exterior with brown patches of fusion crust. The interior is dark gray to black with rusty areas and some metal. | |

The section shows numerous chondrules (up to 0.9 mm across), chondrule fragments, and mineral grains in a dark brown to black matrix which contains minor amounts of nickel-iron and troilite. Brown limonitic staining pervades the section. Microprobe analyses show a range of olivine and pyroxene compositions: olivine, Fa4-37; pyroxene, Fs1-18. This meteorite is an L3 chondrite, estimated to be of subtype 3.4. |
