Macroscopic Description - Curtis Calva | |
This sample has a very dark brown almost black fusion crust with rusty iridescent weathering spots. The exposed interior is also a very dark brown and smooth with an almost melted looking texture and some small gray areas. The interior has a light gray matrix with light colored inclusions that appear to be stained orange. There are areas of orange and brown rust with metal. This sample is dusty but coherent with fractures. | |
