85% black fusion crust covers the exterior, the exposed interior is tan colored with white and dark clasts/inclusions. The interior is a gray matrix with abundant light/dark inclusions/clasts, some are large, minor oxidation is visible. |
The section shows a groundmass of comminuted pyroxene and plagioclase (up to 3 mm) with fine- to coarse-grained basaltic clasts ranging up to 4 mm. Some of the clasts are sulfide rich. Most of the pyroxene is orthopyroxene with compositions ranging from Fs20-52Wo1-12 (most are Fs20-26) and olivines are Fa12. The meteorite is a howardite. |
