Macroscopic Description - Kathleen McBride
The exterior of this carbonaceous chondrite is rusty and dull.
Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy, Pamela Salyer
The section consists of an aggregate of very small chondrules (less than 0.2 mm), mineral fragments, and metal. Most olivine and pyroxene grains appear quite reduced (less than Fa5 or Fs4), although some FeO-rich olivine grains are present (up to Fa40). The meteorite is a CH3 chondrite similar to and could potentially be paired with MIL 090586. |
