December 6, 2006 T.H. See C2121 Removed cell from storage to mount in Level 3 fixture. Tile is broken in to two pieces horizontally. J. Warren, R. Bastien, and T.H. See determined best method to restack the two pieces and successfully mounted the tile in the Level 3 fixture. C2121 is one of the vertical tiles on the Cometary collector, and thus, the tile had to be rotated 90º counter clockwise with respect to it’s in-tray position (i.e., Level 2 orientation) for Level 3 documentation. In the Level 3 orientation, the top left, top right, and lower right corners are broken off the exposed surface of the tile. This is how it came out of the crucible. No obvious large tracks visible. Completed seven Depth Profiles @ ~ 09:35. Setting up for detailed track scan. Tracks – Because of the orientation difference with Level 2, matching the tracks with those of PW / THS from Level 2 and the 15 degree offset group may be more difficult.
