Lunar Sample Requests
The sample request deadline for lunar samples for the Spring CAPTEM meeting is February 17, 2012. The CAPTEM Meeting will take place on March 24-25, 2012. Please refer to this page for an updated date for the next submission period.
Antarctic Meteorite Sample Requests
The sample request deadline is March 9, 2012 for the next MWG meeting, which is scheduled for March 23-24, 2012. All requests received after this date will not be considered until our next sample allocation period in the Fall of 2012. Please refer to this page for an updated date for the next submission period.
Stardust Sample Requests
New! Release of four Stardust Interstellar foil craters for general allocation:
The Stardust Interstellar Sample Preliminary Examination (ISPE) Group has released four FIBed sections from Stardust Interstellar tray’s aluminum foil craters. The deadline for these requests is May 1, 2012. See Stardust Breaking News for more info.
For other Stardust samples, the sample request deadline is the 15th of each month. Requests will be considered each month by the Sample Allocation Committee.
All requests must follow the guidelines found in the Checklist to Request Stardust Samples document. Refer to the Stardust Investigators Guidebook for further instructions for Principal Investigators.
Hayabusa Sample Requests
Hayabusa Sample Requests are now being accepted by the Curator at JSC. Requests will be considered each month by the Hayabusa Sample Allocation Committee.
