60% of the exterior has black fusion crust, exposed areas are black/gray with some oxidation and evaporites. The interior is fine grained black matrix with light and weathered inclusions visible and evaporites. |
The sections consist of a few small chondrules (up to 0.5 mm), mineral grains and CAIs set in a black matrix; rare metal and sulfide grains are present. Olivine compositions are Fa0-48 with most 2, pyroxenes are Fs1-38. Aqueous alteration of the matrix is substantial, but the chondrules are only modestly altered. The meteorites are CM2 chondrites. |
