Macroscopic Description - Cecilia Satterwhite
70% of the exterior has black fusion crust, patches on some surfaces. Areas without fusion crust are gray with brown weathered areas. Abundant inclusions/chondrules of various sizes and colors are visible. The surface is pitted in areas. The interior is dark gray to black matrix in areas with some brown oxidation. Abundant inclusions/chondrules of various sizes and colors are visible.
Thin Section Description (,2) - Cari Corrigan, Tim McCoy
The sections exhibit large (up to 2 mm), well-defined, metal-rich chondrules and CAIs in a dark matrix of FeO-rich phyllosilicate. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is abundant. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa1-38, with most Fa0-2, and pyroxenes from Fs9-19Wo1-2. The meteorites are likely paired CR2 chondrites.
