The exterior has black fusion crust with some evaporites. Exposed interior shows a gray matrix with weathered areas. The interior is a dark gray to black matrix with heavy oxidation. |
The section exhibits numerous well-defined chondrules (up to 2 mm) in a matrix of fine-grained silicates, metal and troilite. Polysynthetically twinned pyroxene is abundant. The meteorite is modestly stained with hydrated iron oxides of terrestrial origin. Silicates are unequilibrated; olivines range from Fa12-34 and pyroxene is Fs18-26. The meteorite is an LL3 chondrite (estimated subtype 3.8). |
