Macroscopic Description - Kathleen McBride
The fusion crust on these paired meteorites ranges from none to 20% purplish black with fractures. The interiors range in colors from brown to gray to black with evaporites. Abundant multicolored chondrules are visible.
Thin Section Description (,4) - Tim McCoy, Linda Welzenbach
The sections are so similar that a single description suffices. The sections exhibit large chondrules (up to 3 mm) and CAIs in a dark matrix. Olivines range from Fa0-9 and low-Ca pyroxene is Fs1-2. The meteorites are unequilibrated carbonaceous chondrites, probably CV3. |
